2011 Cabernet Franc - Pedregal Vineyard - Paicines Estate

The 2011 Cabernet Franc fermentation process lasted for 12 days. This allowed the wine to reach moderate temperatures for a combination of color and flavor extraction with elegant character. The wine was pressed and then settled for two days before barreling into French oak. The wine set primarily in 60% new French oak. Then it aged in 40% neutral oak to extract the purity of fruit flavors. The resulting Cabernet Franc has a nose of pencil shavings and sharp pepper. The mouth begins with strong pepper followed by hints of leather with a soft oak flavor.

2011 Petit Verdot - Pedregal Vineyard - Paicines Estate

2011 Tannat - Pedregal Vineyard -Paicines Estate

Tannat is an extremely unique varietal. Only around 300 acres are grown in the entire wine state of California. Although Tannat is usually used as a blending grape, Puma Road proudly sells it as its own varietal. This dry and eccentric wine is one of our boldest reds. Tannat has a nose of blue and black fruit, minerals, and game herbs such as sage and juniper. It begins in the mouth with a smooth deep, red berry taste that ends with a powerful smoky flavor with ripe tannins.

2011 Triumvirate - Pedregal Vineyard - Paicines Estate - Cork

The 2011 Vintage created complex wines with enormous depth. A dry winter followed by a moderate spring resulted in an ultra-long ripening season. Since the 2011 harvest didn’t begin until mid-October, the crop was allowed excellent hang time. It resulted in intense flavor development with excellent acidity and brilliant, bright coloring. Triumvirate is a Meritage co-fermented with Petit Verdot, Malbec, and Tannat. This wine shows dense aromas of ripe, dark berries wrapped in the essence of vanilla and oak. While sipping this wine, the palette primarily tastes plum and blackberries followed by spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon on the mid-palate. This bold beauty pairs well with prime rib, ribeye, and New York steak.

2013 Pinot Noir - Pedregal Vineyard - Paicines Estate

The Pedregal Vineyard is located in the Paicines AVA on the western edge of the Diablo Mountain Range near Hollister. The wine was aged for 18 months in 30% new French barrels and 70% neutral barrels. This wine offers unique notes of plum, cherry and pepper for the nose. The palate experiences a rich mouthfeel with cherry, and a peppery finish.

2013 Pinot Noir - Santa Lucia Highlands - Estate

The 2013 Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir is an unbelievably light and fresh wine. It is made from the top-quality grapes of our Apex and Vigna Monte Nero vineyards. The mixture of the ranches results in a divine wine that truly captures the essence of the Santa Lucia Highlands. The 2013 vintage differs from the 2012 vintage by having slightly bolder initial flavor with a smoother finish. After being hand-picked and pressed, the wine is aged for 10 months in 50% new French oak and 50% neutral oak barrels. The Pinot Noir nose has elegant notes of vanilla and raspberries. Dense flavors of red berries, balanced acidity, and toasty oak consume the senses of the mouth.
